On August 1, 2025, the Shuangliu District Manufacturing Industry Cooperation Forum was successfully convened at Chengdu Action Electronics Joint-Stock Co., Ltd. Hosted by the Economic and Information Bureau of Shuangliu District and organized by the Chengdu SME Association along with the Shuangliu District SME Public Service Platform, the event focused on bridging global resources to support export-oriented manufacturing companies, particularly those in the gas industry.

The forum provided an important opportunity for government officials, industry experts, and business leaders to engage in direct dialogue about the real challenges faced by enterprises venturing into international markets. Su Fei, President of the Chengdu SME Association, and Zhang Xiaoyan, Deputy Director of the China Center for Information Industry Development (CCID), together with other key experts, emphasized the need for enhanced communication between companies and research institutions. This collaboration aims to better align government policies and market services with the actual needs of manufacturing firms.

As a cornerstone of the gas safety protection sector, Chengdu Action Electronics Joint-Stock Co., Ltd showcased its cutting-edge gas detectors and gas analyzers, demonstrating strong innovation capabilities and a robust manufacturing capacity that reaches 7 million units annually. Action’s role exemplifies how specialized companies in the gas industryare advancing to meet global market demands.

The forum also featured a site visit to HiWAFER, a pioneer in 6-inch Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) and Gallium Nitride (GaN) wafer foundry services. With significant investments and recent financing rounds totaling nearly RMB 2 billion, HiWAFER is accelerating its development of compound semiconductor technologies and expanding production capacity for both military and civilian applications.

Deputy Director Zhang Xiaoyan highlighted a significant shift in China’s overseas expansion strategies—from traditional industries like textiles to high-tech manufacturing sectors. She noted that companies are increasingly pursuing overseas industrial parks and integrated supply chains to solidify their international presence. Furthermore, the government is enhancing support through professional service platforms and international partnerships to smooth the path for enterprises going global.

The event concluded with gratitude toward all participating government bodies and enterprises for their strong support. Looking forward, the Chengdu SME Association commits to fostering deeper industry exchanges and collaboration, paving the way for gas industry companies and manufacturers of gas detectors and gas analyzers to seize new opportunities on the global stage
